Sunday School Teachers
Caring adults needed to minister to our children. If you are available 2-4 Sundays a month and our willing to make a commitment for the program year, we would love to have you as one of our teachers. Teachers stay with the same grade all year and help to shape the community feel of the small group. You will work with 2-3 other teachers as a team serving your grade’s group. Workshop Leaders
Creative adults who love children but might not be available regularly throughout the year needed. Workshop leaders run an activity for a few Sundays and grades rotate through their activity as they experience the Bible story more deeply. Activities are both provided or can be creative expressions of the passions of the leader. Contact our Children’s Minister, Mary Lusk.
Musicians
Music is a big part of our life together as a church family. Guitarists, pianists, and vocal leaders on an occasional or regular basis are always needed to supplement the music portion of our children’s programs. Contact our Children’s Minister, Mary Lusk.
Vacation Bible Camp
The highlight of Saint Mark’s summer is our Vacation Bible Camp. Tons of creative energy and passion are poured into providing an amazing experience to our children. Adults and youth are needed during the week as leaders and during the months before to prepare for the fifty campers who come through our doors that week. Contact our Children’s Minister, Mary Lusk.
Safe Church Training
Safeguarding God’s Children
“The church is to love, shelter, protect, and defend children within its own community and in the world…”
Safe Church training was created by our national church and fully supported by our diocese, using these words “the church is called to respond in new and intentional ways to care for, be responsible to, and create safe space for all persons”. This training is required for Cathedral Teachers of children/youth, Vestry members, staff, and all others who interact with children/youth on a regular basis or are decision-makers involving any part of our church life that includes children.
