Leading the list are beautiful brass “singing” bowls, sometimes used as a call to prayer, or to calm one’s thoughts and focus the attention. When a wooden mallet is gently rubbed against the bowl’s edge, a sweet sound shimmers in the air, and troublesome thoughts may dissolve.
Another kind of shimmer, this time visual, comes when light touches our elegant new sterling silver crosses, speaking of the preciousness of our primary sacred symbol. And, on a more whimsical note, don’t miss our “pearl” earrings, each adorned with a tiny gold bee or dragonfly. They may be the perfect gift for someone you consider charming – or for you to wear, to charm someone special.
There are journals, and then there are journals. Our new arrivals come in two sizes (the small one will fit in a purse or pocket) and each features a dedicated topic. One is for your own “bucket list”; others are for recording special wines, your Christmas lists, books you’ve read (or want to), your prayers, notes on daily devotions, or travel records and plans (visiting all 50 states!). “Write to Remember” is a journal that guides you in interviewing a grandma (or grandpa) about their life and memories.
If you haven’t been in the Book Shop lately, these new arrivals offer lots of enticement to come and see…
