Altar Guild is a ministry of St. Markans who care for the altars and sanctuary of the Cathedral. They work on monthly teams to prepare for services. The Altar Guild offers the fringe benefit of learning about the church and the opportunity for fellowship while serving an important ministry. To join the Altar Guild, contact Terry Erickson.
Acolytes assist in the rituals and processions of the worship service. Adult and youth acolytes are welcome and acolytes serve on a rotation. Contact Siri Hustad or Canon Richard Norman.
Greeters welcome worshippers into the Cathedral and provide the gift of hospitality to those who come to our doors. To join a greeter team, contact Kathleen Murphy .
Eucharistic Ministers assist during the worship service in the distribution of the Eucharist as chalice bearers. Eucharistic Ministers have a brief training and are then on a rotations for the services. Contact Joanne Christ .
Intercessors lead the prayers during the Sunday service on a rotational basis. To volunteer as an intercessor, contact Lowell Johnson.
Lectors read the passages from Scripture during the service. Lectors serve on monthly teams twice a year. To join a team, contact Dave Karges.
Ushers assist in the flow of the worship service by doing many of the behind the scenes tasks. They hand out bulletins, count the number of people, and help in the directing of people for Communion. To join an usher team, contact Doug Eichten.
