BAPTISM

Baptism marks the beginning of a new life in Christ. It is the time that we celebrate God’s grace working through the newly baptized and pledge as a community to support that person in their life in Christ.

At Saint Mark’s Holy Baptism is celebrated during liturgies on All Saints’ Sunday and at the 7:30 p.m. Easter Vigil.

Questions and/or to register contact Rev. Anna Ostenso Moore.

PREPARATION FOR PARENTS OF INFANTS AND CHILDREN
Preparation for parents of children being baptized is hosted in two sessions before. During preparation we explore the implications of the vows parents will make and build community within those that will support parents as they raise their child/children in the church. Parents are required to attend both sessions. Contact Rev. Anna for more information.

PREPARATION FOR TEENS AND ADULTS
Teens and adults preparing for baptism are paired with a spiritual companion with whom they meet once a month for a year. With their spiritual companion they explore what baptism means for their everyday life and their faith questions. The spiritual mentorships are tailored to those preparing for baptism in order to meet them where they are in their faith.
