Absalom Jones Feast Day Celebration

Join us in celebrating the life of The Reverend Absalom Jones with song and scripture, preaching, Eucharist and a joyful reception. The cathedral community service is offered by Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Saint Mark’s and ECMN. In the Nave and also livestream.

The Reverend Absalom Jones was the first Black American to be ordained a Deacon and then Priest in the Episcopal church in the United States. Reverend Absalom Jones was born enslaved to a wealthy Anglican planter in 1746 in Delaware. More on his life and History can be found here.
