There is a Celtic saying that heaven and earth are only three feet apart, but in the thin places that distance is even smaller. A thin place is where the veil that separates heaven and earth is lifted and one is able to receive a glimpse of the glory of God.
Join us for a retreat in All Saints Chapel of contemplative celtic prayer: an experience with chants, prayers, readings, with a presentation and discussion led by Edward Sellner.
Edward C. Sellner is professor of pastoral theology and spirituality at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota. He holds a doctor of philosophy degree from the University of Notre Dame. Sellner is the author of numerous articles and books. A popular speaker on Celtic spirituality, he has given workshops, retreats, and lectures at local, national, and international conferences.
Ed says this on his facebook page: “We inherit from our ancestors gifts so often taken for granted… Each of us contains within… this inheritance of soul. We are links between the ages, containing past and present expectations, sacred memories and future promise.”
