Dreading controversial holiday conversations? Want to communicate constructively in our polarized times with people close to you who hold different political views? Do you long to share your perspectives, understand others, find common ground, and create a path forward while respecting the dignity of all people? Want to make a difference in our community and culture on issues that you care passionately about? You can!
Build your skills around listening in a way that the other person feels heard and speaking in a way that the other person is likely to hear you. Learn how to move dialogue forward on issues important to you while respecting others’ points of view. We will laugh and have some fun along the way
Facilitator: Bill Doherty, Professor and Family Therapist, University of Minnesota and co-founder of Better Angels
