Art4Shelter Art Display in Gallery

Attracting hundreds of philanthropists, art lovers and party goers, this highly anticipated and *free* event welcomes guests to purchase original works of art with 100% of proceeds directly supporting Simpson's programs of shelter, housing, and services to people experiencing homelessness in the Twin Cities.

Each 5x7" original work of art will be sold for $35 - the cost of housing a person experiencing homelessness for one night at Simpson’s shelter. Since its inception, Art 4 Shelter has raised $500,000 which translates to 16,000 night of shelter for Simpson guests.

This high energy exhibit starts with a preview hour and then explodes with the ringing of the 7pm bell when all attendees are welcome to take their favorite works of art directly from the gallery walls. At that point, they find out if they hold a piece by a famous artist or are the first to discover up-and-coming talent {all works of art are signed only on the back}.

All 5x7s are $35 and 8x10s are $90. New art will be continually replenished throughout the evening for all partygoers as the festivities continue with wine and light appetizers.

Simpson Housing’s mission is to house, support and advocate for people experiencing homelessness. The proceeds from this event directly support of the remarkable work of Simpson’s staff and volunteers. Last year alone, Simpson was able to move over 1,800 individuals from shelter into housing, including 266 families with 533 children. That said, homelessness continues to impact approximately 15,000 Minnesotans on any given night. Children and youth, age 24 and younger, make up 51% of Minnesota’s homeless population.
