As a part of preparations for the upcoming Liturgical Season, “The Christian Calendar” will be offered prior to Lent.  The liturgical calendar of feast days, fast days and saints’ days, not only establishes a pattern of life and worship for us but reminds us of the story we live from.    

In our winter lecture, we will examine the origins and purpose of the calendar and focus especially on the season of Lent, Holy Week, and Eastertide as preparation for our worship and reflection.
