THANK YOU to those Saint Markans who helped over the decades to make sandwiches or distribute sandwiches from our threshold or from the Minneapolis College Student Resource Center. For several reasons, including our own volunteer capacity, we have ceased the making and distributing of sandwiches as of 9/1/19. In our own Loring Park neighborhood, the Basilica of St. Mary continues to distribute sandwiches, often alongside their various onsite outreach programs. We will continue to work with Minneapolis College to meet the changing needs of their students through the Student Resource Center, as well as through our Lionheart Scholarships. Contact: the Rev. Tim Kinglsey, Community Engagement Coordinator.

As part of our historic relationship with the ever-changing Loring Park neighborhood, Saint Mark’s offers a great opportunity to practice hospitality and feed the people of God on the second Sunday of the month. This effort is part of a rotating feeding and hospitality ministry between other downtown churches.  Volunteer positions include: meal operations, hospitality, and clean up. Contact: The Rev. Tim Kingsley, Community Engagement Coordinator.
