Within our caring and nurturing faith community, unique events during the life of a young child may include Holy Baptism into the family of Christ, nursery-time when very young, Sunday school, Summer Camp, Christmas Pageants, Easter activities and more. Adults are encouraged to support this ministry, from a one-time occasion such as costuming for the Christmas pageant to a regular commitment in a Godly Play classroom. All people who are involved in our children’s ministry programs are offered a thought-provoking training provided by the Episcopal Church, “Safeguarding God’s Children.”
2018 CHRISTMAS PAGEANT
As the temperature cools down, it’s time to fire up the community in preparation for Christmas Eve 4 pm worship. I want to invite you and your family to participate with us in the biggest family event of the year!
Interested in participating in telling the story of Christ’s Birth?
There are roles for teens, preteens, children and young at heart. We need many hands and seek all ages, abilities, skills and talents for our cast and especially seek High School teens for our Production team.
Children age 3 through 3rd grade are invited to Godly Play on Sundays from 9:15-10:15 a.m. in St. Mark’s Children’s Hallway. Montessori-based Godly Play offers children ways to learn and engage sacred stories and spiritual practices of Christianity. It includes honest wondering and real play. Participants learn a strong foundation of Christian language, a sense of the church year and how to integrate our sacred stories into their own life.
