Saint Mark's has an emerging partnership with Agate Housing and we'd love to have a strong showing for the Saint Mark's team "Team Ramjet" at A Walk in the Life held at Westminster Presbyterian. We’ll be fundraising and walking together to join the fight to end homelessness for our neighbors, and hope that you’ll join us. If you have questions, please contact John Ramsbottom.

Saint Mark's Feast Day on Sunday, April 26

Worship Service

Join us at our 10:30 AM service as we gather to celebrate the feast day of our patron saint, Saint Mark.

Recognition and Blessing of Historical Pieces

During the service, we will also honor and bless pieces of history located in the Nave. The back wall of the Nave has long featured names carved in memory of former Rectors and Deans. Recently, the names of the last three Deans—Frederick Morris, Henry Hancock, and H. Douglas Fontaine—have been added, each accompanied by their chosen scripture verse. We also acquired a marble carving of a St. Mark’s lion that has now been beautifully restored.

About the Artist

The carver, Janey Westin, was responsible for both the carving of the Deans on the back wall and the restoration of the lion. On Sunday, May 3, Janey will share insights into the fascinating process of carving and restoration during the 9:30 forum hour.

Dean Search Update

We have completed our interviews of the six candidates provided by the Bishop, have narrowed our focus to three of those candidates, and we are interviewing the final three. We have already completed one finalist's interview and will have the other two completed before the end of April. Keep the candidates, their families, the Search Committee, the Vestry, and the Bishop in your prayers as we work to conclude our search! Please continue to check the Dean search page on our website for further updates.
