Come celebrate with us!

Sunday, December 14, after 10:30 service

Friends, Saint Markans, and lovers of good music and good cake:

On Sunday, December 14th after the 10:30 am service, we gather for a wonderfully joyful occasion: to celebrate 25 years of our beloved Canon Musician, the incomparable Raymond Johnston.

For a quarter of a century, Ray has filled this Cathedral with music that lifts our hearts, stirs our souls, and occasionally convinces us that the angels themselves are humming along from the rafters. He has weathered countless rehearsals, heroic feats at the organ console, and more Advents, Feast Days, and snowstorm Sundays than most musicians dare to imagine.

And now—after 25 years of glorious anthems, world premieres, processionals, recessional triumphs, and the occasional knowing glance from the organ loft—we finally offer Raymond a fitting tribute: cake and fellowship with the people who cherish him.

So grab a slice of cake, enjoy a laugh, share a memory, and help us celebrate the remarkable ministry of a musician who has shaped the sound and spirit of Saint Mark’s for a generation.

Cheers to 25 years, Raymond — and here’s to many more notes, more joy, and more music shared together.

In Peace,

Tim+
