Second Sunday Community Meal – Volunteer
March 11, 2029 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Second Sunday of every month is St. Mark’s Sunday to support the Community Meal at Plymouth Congregational Church. We need volunteers. If you can contribute your time on Sunday, please contact Drisana or Ian Iverson by indicating your interest and contact information via SEND@ourcathedral.org.
When:
Please arrive at your preferred time depending on which tasks you’re interested in:
- Cooking shift: 2PM (if anyone is interested in being part of the cooking team, please contact David Leussler: wildrhub@hotmail.com )
- Opening shift: 4PM (shift lasts from roughly 4-6pm and includes setup, distribution of bread/fruit/hygiene products, and serving guests)
- Closing shift: 5PM (shift lasts from roughly 5-7pm and includes serving guests and cleanup)
What is involved: We will welcome guests into the building for a dine-in meal (starting at 5pm) where they can go through a serving line and choose their preferred meal. Starting at 5:40pm, guests can also opt to take their meals to-go.
Where we work: We do this in a large kitchen and dining room in the church basement. Guests come into the dining room, dine in and/or pick up their items, and then they exit the building.
