June 24, 2023 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am
Compassionate Support for All
Ed Holland, Family Matters: The Impact of Change, Loss & Grief on Families
Founded in 1997, the Downtown Minneapolis Coalition for Grief Support is a unique non-profit resource to help Twin Cities adults deal with the death of a child, family member, friend, spouse, or partner.
Through encouragement and education, we help those in pain to understand and express grief, and most of all, begin moving forward.
The group is managed entirely by volunteers and trained facilitators from eight Minneapolis congregations. Because each of our members has come through an individual experience of loss, we offer support on both professional and personal terms.
The Downtown Coalition holds weekly Saturday meetings that are free and open to the public, regardless of religious affiliation. The meetings provide a safe, understanding environment for grief education, comfort and recovery.
