Feast of the Virgin of Guadalupe, Dec. 12
Tuesday, December 12 | 6 p.m.
Saint Mark’s is a home to many, and therefore we are honored to celebrate different feast days throughout the year – one of which is the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
On this day, we will once again strengthen the bonds of faith and love that unite us to the Mother of God, Mary. God chose Mary as the mother of his son and called all nations and generations to bless the gift of grace given to her. In the company of those who have gone before us, united with peoples of all races and generations, we will cry out to her in prayer and music.
Each Latin American nation honors the Mother of God under a different title, which over generations has become a symbol of the soul of those peoples. The Virgin of Guadalupe is not only a symbol for many Mexicans – she unites the souls of all Latin Americans in all the Americas.
This liturgical celebration (which will be offered in the Spanish language) is open to everyone. Come! celebrate with your brothers and sisters the beautiful Holy Mother and the Glory of God! (and stay for the tamales!)
