Building a Community of Believers

As disciples of Jesus, each of us is responsible for building up the body of the church and being evangelists of the Good News. This includes inviting new people to visit and learn more about Saint Mark’s, making them feel welcome, helping them connect with others, and providing them with opportunities to share their gifts.

Usher Palm Sunday

Ushers

Ushers welcome people into Saint Mark's for services, help people find their seats, gather the offertory, and get people in line to receive the Eucharist. Contact David Albrecht for more information.

Greeters

Greeters stand at each entrance and and at key locations throughout the building to help guide people to where they are trying to go. Contact Sally Cunningham to join.

Cheering

Hospitality

This group helps set up food, tables, coffee, and other goodies for fellowship on Sundays from 9AM-noon in the Community Room. They also help set up for our potlucks and picnics. If you would like to help, you can email Kimberly or show up any Sunday and offer to help.

Newcomer Connection Gathering

This ministry meets with visitors once a month in the Heritage Room to welcome people to Saint Mark's and explain a little about how people can get more involved in the community and become a member. Contact John Satterberg for more information.

Docents

Every Sunday after the 10:30 service, our community of docents lead tours of our beautiful building. If you would like to join and learn about the history of Saint Mark's, come to the pulpit after the 10:30 service and the docent will meet you there.

For questions about these and other small groups at Saint Mark's, contact Mary Lusk.
