Happy New Year,
Saint Mark’s!
I hope this message finds you well as we begin a new
year full of hope and opportunity.
I am delighted to invite you to our Annual Meeting on Sunday,
January 25, 2026. We will gather for one combined worship service
at 10:00 AM, with the Annual Meeting immediately following in the
Nave.
This meeting is a chance to celebrate all that God has
done among us in 2025, and to look forward to the year ahead. We will
update the community on the work of the Vestry, the budget, and how
the transition to our next Dean is coming along.
A Vital Invitation: Join the Vestry in 2026
A major part of the Annual Meeting will be our
elections. Last year we had a slate ballot with no open Vestry
positions — this year is very different. We will be electing a new
Executive Team, and several Vestry seats are open. These leadership
roles are essential to the life and mission of Saint Mark’s, and your
gifts, insights, and participation are needed!
If you feel called to serve on the Vestry — or simply
want to learn more about what that involves — please complete an
expression of interest form:
👉
https://ourcathedral.org/vestry-interest-form/
Please complete an interest form no later than Sunday
January 18th. Paper
forms are also available at the information desk.
Not ready for Vestry?
You can also serve by joining one of our important
committees: Finance, Property, Stewardship, and Governance. This is a
great way to engage in meaningful work that strengthens our
community, get to know new people, and give the gift of your talent.
Looking Back & Looking Forward
Over the past two years, we have accomplished so much
together, even as material resources tightened.
Through it all, enthusiasm, faithfulness, and dedication have grown.
I am deeply grateful to have walked alongside such committed leaders;
our clergy, staff, search committee, Vestry, and you, the people of
Saint Mark’s.
I am also especially thankful for the steady guidance
and support from ECMN during our time of transition.
It will be difficult to fully express the depth of my
admiration and gratitude at the Annual Meeting, but I will certainly
try!
I look forward to worshiping with you at 10:00 am,
gathering for the Annual Meeting, and celebrating all that God has
done in 2025 — and all that lies before us in 2026. Your presence and
participation truly make a difference.
God bless you,
Gina Christ
