What
makes this year’s calendar truly special isn’t just the gorgeous photos—though you’ll find plenty of those. Inside
are snapshots of past and present choirs, candid behind‑the‑scenes
moments, and all the joyful shenanigans that make our community who
we are.
But this
calendar does more than delight your wall. It helps send our choir to
London this summer, supporting an unforgettable musical pilgrimage.
And the
real showstopper?
Every
Sunday and major feast day includes a QR code that takes you straight
to a recording of our choir singing the hymn of the day. It’s like
having your favorite hymns, and your favorite choir, right at your
fingertips whenever you want to listen.
If you’d
like to purchase one of these one‑of‑a‑kind calendars, simply see
Kristi Bergland or any choir member— they’ll be delighted to help
you.
What
better way to stay connected to the music and ministry of Saint
Mark’s all year long.
Michael Bruce McKee loved God,
and his ebullient life's journey brought him and his family to St.
Mark's Cathedral in the early1980's. His rich and engaged time
in this community showed itself in his creative church school
teaching, community outreach and ecumenical activities, and -
wherever he went - singing in the choir. He witnessed to his faith
both through writing poetry and song, and one of his published hymns
will be sung during his livestreamed Burial Eucharist from St. John's
Cathedral in Denver, Colorado on Thursday, February 12 at 12:00
CST. https://sjcathedral.org/
Michael's favorite Saints Day was Absalom Jones and
hence the date for his service would make his heart glad. Despite his
nagging pains of personal and structural racism, Michael was always
eager to teach black intellectual history and theology and his work
for racial justice brought him much joy.
