Somatic Euphoria is a trauma-informed breathwork and somatic journey that invites participants into expanded states of awareness through the body—without substances.

This particular journey is held within a living soundscape, guiding participants beyond the thinking mind and into direct relationship with breath, body, and the more-than-human world.

The breathwork session is accompanied by an immersive, live-mixed soundtrack created by mycologist and sound artist Ben Kingsley and Colombian composer Juanito Vargas, woven from field recordings gathered in the Adirondacks during the summer of 2025.

Echolocating bats, beavers at work, wind moving through forest canopies, waves on stone, and the steady pulse of fire form an elemental sonic environment that supports deep grounding, nervous system regulation, and a felt sense of belonging within the living world.

This is an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and allow breath and sound to guide you into embodied presence.

Each journey is unique. Experiences may include:

·     Release of stored emotional or energetic tension

·     Deep nervous system settling and regulation

·     Heightened sensory awareness and inner imagery

·     Emotional integration, grief release, or quiet joy

·     A profound sense of connection with self, body, and landscape

·     Deep rest within a carefully held container

All experiences are approached with consent, choice, and respect for individual pacing.

This experience is facilitated with deep attention to:

Nervous system safety,

Consent and self-direction.

Grounding and orientation

Integration and after-care

Participants are always invited to listen to their bodies and engage only as feels supportive.

No prior breathwork experience is required.

RSVP only a few spots remain! Reservations required for this event.

What makes this year’s calendar truly special isn’t just the gorgeous photos—though you’ll find plenty of those. Inside are snapshots of past and present choirs, candid behind‑the‑scenes moments, and all the joyful shenanigans that make our community who we are.

But this calendar does more than delight your wall. It helps send our choir to London this summer, supporting an unforgettable musical pilgrimage.

And the real showstopper?

Every Sunday and major feast day includes a QR code that takes you straight to a recording of our choir singing the hymn of the day. It’s like having your favorite hymns, and your favorite choir, right at your fingertips whenever you want to listen.

If you’d like to purchase one of these one‑of‑a‑kind calendars, simply see Kristi Bergland or any choir member— they’ll be delighted to help you.

What better way to stay connected to the music and ministry of Saint Mark’s all year long.

The Center for People and Craft is an emerging urban folk school in Minneapolis, MN. Supported by the Arts & Cultural Affairs Department of the City of Minneapolis, the Center celebrates the rich cultural diversity of our city and the many traditions that thrive in this particular place on earth—from craft, ritual, and music to dance, storytelling, and foraging.

Located adjacent to Loring Park in the education building of St. Mark's Cathedral, the Center will expand access to traditional crafts and their contemporary expressions, foster connection to place and community, and nurture intergenerational learning.

Our vision is inspired by the historic Danish folk school model–which served as a talisman against fascism in the mid 1800s–reimagined for our urban, multicultural setting. Through hands-on workshops and community events, we will bring together artisans, culture bearers, and neighbors to honor heritage and place, spark creativity, and strengthen cross-cultural connections.
