Gather Us Again to Hear
Holy God, lover of our souls, we come before you as people
created by and for love: Gather us in this time to hear again your
word of love, to renew our trust in its breadth and depth. In the
sacrifice of your love for us, may we find renewal and be your love
in the world. Amen.
Calling all kids and families,
and any members of our church family who want to join in the fun! On
Sunday, March 22, in the Banquet Room after the 10:30 service, we
will paint our brand-new Little Free Pantry, which will join our
Little Free Library and Little Free Seed Library outside near the
courtyard once the roof construction is done.
Please bring:
·A potluck dish or snack to share so we can break bread
together before we paint
·Paint clothes for all aspiring artists
·A non-perishable food item to put inside the pantry
We hope you can join us in bringing together art,
service, and community as we learn to follow Jesus. Contact Rev. Clara
with any questions.
Palm Sunday
Procession with Children
March 29 is Palm Sunday.
During the 10:30 worship, children (and parents) are invited to join
in the procession, waving palms and participating in the celebration
as Jesus was proclaimed King of kings. Please meet in the Art Gallery
hallway prior to worship. The palms will be blessed in the nave then
children/families will follow the choir in procession. Towards the
end of the procession, children may continue to
Children's Worship with their leaders or return to pews with family.
Information to share
Prepare and remember Palm Sunday as a family, sharing
the readings and prayer in this link: Palm Sunday
And, in case you need a refresher - here is how to
create a palm cross.
We would welcome acolytes for Palm Sunday, Maundy
Thursday, Easter Vigil, and Easter morning! There will be many
ways to participate at each of these
services.
Please let Jeanne Hinks know ahead of time
if possible, but the Verger/Acolyte team can go with the flow if the
spirit moves your acolyte to join us at any time. Contact: Jeanne Hinks
Easter Worship with Families
On Easter morning, Nursery and Children's Worship will
not be available so that all families may celebrate the resurrection
together. There is a carpeted space on the floor in the front of the
nave, on the right side, which allows for an up-close view of the
worship. A variety of toys and books are also available in that area.
Wherever you choose to sit, know that we love the joyful noise of all
people in worship!
