Connect With Your Neighbors

Connect with your neighbors

One of the most effective ways of preventing abductions by ICE is being connected with your neighbors. There are rapid response groups, mutual aid hubs, and block organizing that is making a big difference. Even if you aren't ready to go out and blow a whistle and be an observer when ICE arrives, you can be part of getting food and transportation to those who are at risk. Everyone has a role.

In the interest of keeping all of us safe, especially our immigrant neighbors, a lot of this organizing is done person-to-person to build trust. If you'd like support on getting connected to your hyper-local groups, reach out to Rev. Clara Sanders.
