Timely Topics with the Dean

You are invited to join in an important conversation Sunday, February 19, at 9:15 a.m., in the Community Room, at St. Mark’s.

The focus of our conversation will be the ongoing work of your Cathedral Visioning Team. As you may have heard at the Annual Meeting, that Team – guided by Canon Karen Olson, from the office of Bishop Loya – is preparing Vision and Mission Statements that will shape the next chapter of Cathedral life and ministry, including the eventual search for Dean Paul’s successor.

During our time together on the 19th, we will share the most up-to-date drafts of the proposed Statements. Since the Statements were read at the Annual Meeting, clergy has commented on them. Council will review and comment on them on Thursday, February 16. And we anticipate substantive conversation on the morning of the 19th will lead to further revision.

Drafters will collect valued input thereafter and endeavor to circulate final versions of the Statements during the week of February 27.

As with all important matters, the more hearts and minds we can put to this task, the better the outcome. So please engage the process as you’re able, either in person or by directing your comments and questions to Council members.
