Email from Saint Mark's Episcopal Cathedral

From the Provost's Desk

February 6, 2026

Dear Cathedral Community,

I want to share a brief update with you, including an important safety notice and a construction update.

Email Scam Alert

Please be aware that a phishing scam is currently circulating in which individuals are impersonating clergy and requesting gift cards. Please know that Cathedral clergy and staff will never solicit gift cards or personal financial assistance via email, text, or phone.

All official communication related to church business will come from an @ourcathedral.org email address. We will never use personal email accounts or ask for gifts in this way. If you receive a message that seems suspicious, please do not respond and feel free to contact the Cathedral office to verify.

Construction Update

Construction activity on campus will be increasing over the coming days:

·    Scaffolding is expected to arrive on Monday, February 9.

·    Fencing will be installed, and pedestrian traffic will be limited by the end of the week.

·    Beginning next weekend, February 13, the Narthex and Carriage Doors will no longer be accessible during construction. Entry will only be available through the Welcome Center.

We understand that this will require some adjustment, and we appreciate your patience and care as this work begins. We plan to provide weekly updates to keep the community informed as the project progresses.

Thank you for your attention and for your continued support of our shared life together.

Grace and peace,

Tim+
