The Gifts of God for the People of God: Blessed, Broken, Given
Holy Eucharist (Holy Communion) is our ritual foretaste of the heavenly banquet and is the holy feast in which Christ’s real presence is promised to us in the Bread and Wine. It is one of the two great sacraments given by Christ to his Church as a sign and assurance of his divine grace. The other is Holy Baptism.
Holy Eucharist further reminds us of God’s daily provision for those journeying through the wilderness of life, especially those who find themselves excluded from any of the world’s myriad tables. At this table, all those who come in peace are welcome. And each of us come as kin, children of ‘our Father who art in heaven,’ each receiving an equal portion. No favorites.
Holy Eucharist
Celebrated at Saint Mark’s on Sundays at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., Wednesdays at 12:15 p.m., and Saturdays in Spanish at 5:30 p.m.
