Work Makes You Free is a collection of photographs taken at the Auschwitz concentration camps while touring the Eastern Bloc (roughly 1945-1990) countries in 1994.

Ironically, Chris immediately fell ill upon arriving at the memorial site and had to leave after capturing these first-time ever developed and exhibited photographs.

Never Forget

• Approximately 1.1 million died; 1 million Jews, 70,000-80,000 Poles, 21,000 Roma, and 15,000 Soviet prisoners of war.
• Primary method of killing was Zyklon B gas in four large, specially designed crematoria at Birkenau.
• Medical experiments were conducted at Auschwitz 1 (Block 10) and other sites, featuring horrific experiments on twins and dwarves by Dr. Josef Mengele.
• The Red Army liberated the camp on January 27, 1945, finding roughly 7,000 survivors.
• In January 1945, the SS forced 60,000 prisoners on marches west, resulting in up to 15,000 deaths.
