Dean Search Update
We are so pleased to report that the hard work in
creating and posting the webpage as well as networking to reach out
to qualified candidates resulted in an unexpectedly large group of
very qualified candidates for our new Dean position. The Bishop’s office reviewed these candidates and
narrowed the search to six highly capable prospects. Your Search
Committee begins the two-week process of interviewing these six, and
the process moving forward may include a second-round of remote
interviews before in-person visits and interviews. On Sunday,
February 22, the Search Committee presented an update at the
Forum, which will
be available
on the
Dean Search
page, here: https://ourcathedral.org/dean-search/
If you have not done so, please visit
the profile page which the Search Committee created at https://saintmarksmplsdeansearch.org/. In
this page you should see the results of congregational surveys reflected
in our Call as well as informative information about the Cathedral.
Generally, the Search Committee will complete its
review until a single candidate is selected
which will be submitted for approval to the Vestry and a call from the Wardens. Thank you for your continuing
support!

Roof Replacement
& Campus Safety Update
Construction on the slate roof will begin on Friday
Feb 27, with work now occurring dawn to dusk, Monday–Saturday
(paused during Holy Week). Activity remains focused on the east side
of the Nave for at least the next 3 weeks.
Because safety conditions change daily, the campus
may be closed without notice. Please make an appointment before
coming so we can ensure someone is available to greet you. Sign in
and out at the Welcome Center each time you visit.
For everyone’s safety, enter and exit only through
the Welcome Center, including Sundays. The Carriage and Narthex
doors are for emergency exit only and will not be used for
entrance until construction is complete. Please follow all marked
pathways and do not move or go around any fences, barriers, or
posted signs.
Parking
Parking remains limited. Accessible parking is
available on Sundays. The Vue parking is not available for Saint
Mark's parking.
Volunteers will assist with accessible parking before
the 10:30 a.m. service—contact Mary Lusk if you can help.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we move through this important project together.

Newcomers’ Gathering
Sunday, March 8
The next Newcomers’ Gathering will be held at the
Cathedral following the 10:30 service on Sunday, March 8. If
you are new or returning to Saint Mark’s and would like to become
better acquainted with the people and the place, this gathering is
for you. You will meet some of Saint Mark’s leaders as well as other
newcomers, have a chance to ask questions about the life of the
Cathedral, and learn of opportunities for prayer, study, and service
to encourage you on your faith journey. The gathering will be held in
the Heritage Room which is on the Nave
level. Light refreshments will be served and
a brief tour of the building will be offered. The gathering concludes
by 1:00 p.m. We hope you will join us.

SAAGES Lunch
Sunday, March 15, Noon
SAAGES (Spiritually Active Adults, Growing, Exploring,
Serving) will meet for lunch in the Banquet Room following the 10:30
service on Sunday, March 15. Join us to learn about the work
of Dr. Andrew (Andy) Stewart, Theologian in Residence at Saint
Mark's, to help communities around the world preserve their
manuscript heritage.
As executive director of Hill Museum & Manuscript
Library (HMML) since 2003, Andy and his team have partnered with
libraries and organizations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa,
and South Asia, to digitize their precious handwritten heritage, focusing
on collections in conflict zones and held by persecuted minority
communities. His presentation will help us understand the imperative
of preserving the voices of our ancestors before they are lost for all time.
Lunch will be a “planned” shared meal. Sloppy joes will be provided. If your last name begins
with A-H please bring a dessert, I-R please bring a salad, and S-Z
please bring chips. If you have questions, or wish to help (make
sloppy joes, set up, or clean up) please contact Lois at jlsatterberg@gmail.com.

Big Impact, Small People
Saint Mark's Nursery
The nursery needs more volunteers to keep running. When
you volunteer in the nursery, you’re doing more than childcare for
the 6 month to 6 year old
members—you’re strengthening our whole church. You get to share joy
with curious, joyful children, form meaningful relationships with
families, and help make church accessible for parents, aunties,
uncles, and grandparents.
For 10 months of the year, with 41 weeks and 2
volunteers per Sunday, our current team of 6 volunteers are trying to
fill the 82 slots available for the year. They need your help. Training
provided, you pick your schedule. Please contact Kimberley Johnson at
kimberleydarnalljohnson@hotmail.com

From Your Library
We are doing something different with our Lenten book
display in the Parlor this year. Our focus this Lent is on the
connection between Lenten spirituality and meditation and the voices
and stories of our immigrant and refugee neighbors.
As we walk with Jesus through his ministry and final
days, we also walk with our neighbors whose lives and paths are
perilous, yet redemptive. The books consistently address themes such
as love, courage, persistence, and memory, which are interwoven throughout
the narratives. New titles include Migrant God: A Christian Vision
for Immigrant Justice, We Are Not From
Here, and When Home Won’t Let You Stay: Migration Through
Contemporary Art. All the books are available for you to check
out. Pay us a visit!
As always, as you check out new books, please
check your bookshelves (cars, under the beds…) for library books
you’ve had for longer than 4 weeks, and return them. No questions
asked. Your library thanks you.

foundation managed by Saint Markans, granting funds to organizations
serving the needs of our communities.
Here is one of the organizations receiving funds in
2025:
People Serving People
is a non-profit organization that supports families navigating
housing instability by providing essential shelter and meals,
facilitating housing stabilization, nurturing early childhood
education and advocating for transformative systems change. They believe
families deserve a future in which they will thrive and never again
experience homelessness. 441 families were sheltered and supported in
2025, and 63% of their guests were children under the age of 18. The
Wells Foundation is a proud supporter of this important organization.
