Roof Replacement & Campus Safety Update
Construction on
the slate roof is now occurring dawn to dusk, Monday–Saturday
(paused during Holy Week). Activity remains focused on the east side
of the Nave for at least the next two weeks.
Because safety
conditions change daily, the campus may be closed without notice.
Please make an appointment before coming so we can ensure
someone is available to greet you. Sign in and out at the
Welcome Center each time you visit.
For everyone’s
safety, enter and exit only through the Welcome Center, including
Sundays. The Carriage and Narthex doors are for emergency exit
only and will not be used for entrance until construction is
complete. Please follow all marked pathways and do not move or go
around any fences, barriers, or posted signs.
Parking
Parking remains limited.
Accessible parking is available on Sundays. The Vue parking is not
available for Saint Mark's parking.
Volunteers will
assist with accessible parking before the 10:30 a.m. service—contact
Mary Lusk if you can help.
Thank you for
your patience and cooperation as we move
through this important project together.

Active Adults, Growing, Exploring, Serving) will meet for lunch in
the Banquet Room following the 10:30 service on Sunday, March 15.
Join us to learn about the work of Dr. Andrew (Andy) Stewart,
Theologian in Residence at Saint Mark's, to help communities around
the world preserve their manuscript heritage.
As executive
director of Hill Museum & Manuscript Library (HMML) since 2003,
Andy and his team have partnered with libraries and organizations
across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, to digitize
their precious handwritten heritage, focusing on collections in

Fresh
Start Monthly Meeting
From the
beginning, our partnership with Fresh Start at Great River Landing
has been a blessing and inspiration. From speakers to storytelling,
establishing a library, computer room, and bedding drive, to breaking
bread together, listening and learning---- we are building community
together!
What's
Next?
The top priority
for the next three months (Feb- April) is to connect the residents
with employers who support workforce reintegration. The February
meeting was buzzing with ideas and opportunities as we heard from
fellow St Markans, as well as the staff and residents at GRL. We will
continue to hear their stories, enjoy a meal, offer prayer and our
experience, contacts and resources. The bonds being formed, the
inspiration and blessings given and received are palpable. There is
plenty of room for you to join us as we continue to serve as Jesus
did.
Make plans now to
come and join us!
Date: March
24th

entering Jerusalem with Jesus and walking with him through the days

suggested texts for meditation and reflection for Maundy Thursday,
Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday. Andy was a Benedictine
monk and priest for many years before being received into the

LGBTQ+
Survey Opportunity through the National Church
You're invited
to complete a 15- to 20-minute survey offered by the Task Force on
LGBTQ+ Inclusion to help the church better understand how it honors
the dignity of all people and where work remains to be done.
The 80th General
Convention established the task force in 2022, charging it with
conducting an audit of how The Episcopal Church has lived into its
public commitments affirming the inclusion of LGBTQ+ people. A survey
report will be shared with the 82nd General Convention in 2027.
Members across
the church—those who are LGBTQ+ and those who are not—are encouraged
to share about their experiences with pastoral care, sacramental
access, representation in leadership, and institutional
accountability.
Responses are due
by March 15. Take the survey here. Your input is extremely valuable for the Church as
we continue to live out our mission to bring God's healing love to the
world. Thank you for taking an active role to help us make that
happen!

Dean
Search Update
We are so pleased
to report that the hard work in creating and posting the webpage as well
as networking to reach out to qualified candidates resulted in an
unexpectedly large group of very qualified candidates for our new
Dean position. The Bishop’s office
reviewed these candidates and narrowed the search to six highly
capable prospects. Your Search Committee begins the two-week
process of interviewing these six, and the process moving forward may
include a second-round of remote interviews before in-person visits
and interviews. On Sunday, February 22, the Search Committee
presented an update at the Forum, which will be available on the Dean Search page, here: https://ourcathedral.org/dean-search/
If you have not
done so, please visit the profile page which the Search Committee
created at https://saintmarksmplsdeansearch.org/. In this page you should
see the results of congregational surveys reflected in our Call as
well as informative information about the Cathedral.
Generally, the
Search Committee will complete its review until a single candidate is
selected which will be submitted for
approval to the Vestry and a call from the Wardens. Thank
you for your continuing support!
