All baptized Christians—no matter age or denomination or length of time since you last received the Eucharist—are welcome to receive communion. Episcopalians invite all baptized people to receive, not because we take the Eucharist lightly, but because we take our baptism so seriously.

Visitors who are not baptized Christians are welcome to come forward during the Communion to receive a blessing from the clergy.

Depending on the service it will be served the altar rail or a communion station on the floor, or perhaps we will come to you. A wafer will be handed to you as “the body of Christ.” You will then be given the opportunity dip the wafer into the chalice or sip some wine from the chalice as the Eucharistic Minister says, “The blood of Christ, given to you.”

We do not presently offer an alternative non-alcoholic “wine.” If you do not wish to receive the wine, you can acknowledge it in a fashion best for you, such as touching the base of the chalice as the Eucharistic Minister says, “The blood of Christ, given to you.” Please know that just receiving the bread is also full communion.

There is always a station with gluten-free wafers and wine that has not had a gluten wafer dipped in it. If you medically require a gluten-free option, please know that we do our very best to not have gluten intermingle, but we are not certified gluten-free and urge you to use your best judgement based on your personal medical needs.
