Days for Girls Sew-A-Thon

Come join us to volunteer at another Days for Girls Sew-A-Thon sponsored by City of Lakes Rotary Club International Service Committee, where we’ll make 300 feminine hygiene kits for girls in developing countries so they can continue to stay in school and have choices in their lives. The World Health Organization says that the single most effective way to spend a $1 on global health outcomes is to educate girls and women. As Days for Girls states, “Let’s turn Periods into Pathways for girls around the world.” With your help, we can reach these girls. Period

No sewing experience required; assembly training will be provided. Judy Johnson, Twin Cities Days for Girls Coordinator with the Maple Grove Rotary Club will guide us through the kit making process. We greatly welcome those with sewing experience and willingness to bring their sewing machines to the event.
