Event Series Event Series: Pollinator Gardening

Pollinator Gardening

May 16, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Facilitated by Dana Dickson and Julie Dahl
Tuesdays May 9, 16, and 23, 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Saint Mark’s

Safeguarding the integrity of creation, sustaining and renewing the life of the earth, is the 5th Mark of Mission.

In 2022 the Climate Justice Committee planted a pollinator garden at St. Mark’s.  This series will address the theological and practical aspects of pollinator gardening.  We will meet at Saint Mark’s on three Tuesdays and hope to be outdoors for two of the sessions.

The sessions will include hands on planting of pollinator seeds in a container you can take home, discussion of the theological aspects of pollinator gardening, creation of a pollinator garden at your home and a tour of the gardens at Saint Mark’s Cathedral, Loring Park or the Walker Sculpture Garden prairie.

The presenters are Dana Dickson and Julie Dahl.  Julie has over 20 years of experience as a Hennepin County Master Gardener.  Dana is a Minnesota Master Naturalist who plants trees.
