Prayer Requests

Intercessory prayer is an important ministry of the church, and a way to express our needs and hopes to God and support each other. We welcome prayer requests. There are several ways to request prayers for yourself, a family member or friend, and request a Pastoral Care contact if desired.

Special Needs:  This is a public prayer list — the names are spoken at Sunday services and are printed in the weekly St. Mark’s Connector. Names remain on the list for four weeks. If you wish, you may renew the prayer request at the end of the four weeks. This prayer list is intended for urgent prayer needs.

Ongoing prayer list:  This is for long-term prayer needs. Names are printed in the weekly St. Mark’s Connector. They are not spoken at Sunday services. Names remain on this list as long as needed. We will contact you periodically for an update on the prayer concern.

Circle of Prayer Ministry:  If you are requesting prayers and do not want the name in spoken or printed prayers, the Circle of Prayer will include the name and prayer concern in their individual daily prayers. The Circle of Prayer is a ministry of committed laypeople and the St. Mark’s Clergy. Names remain on this list as long as needed. We will contact you periodically for an update on the prayer concern.

For Those Who Have Died:  Please let us know when a loved one has died, so that we may include their name in spoken prayers at Sunday services and in the Connector for two weeks.

Thanksgivings: To express thanks for a birth, graduation, anniversary, or other thanksgiving that you would like  acknowledged in spoken prayers and Connector for two weeks.
